The Witcher Enhanced Edition

Earlier in 2007, I came across the demo of this excellent game known as the Witcher. It was like one of those titles which any RPG fan had to play. Though my humble laptop strained against the requirements, the game had its charm which made it a critical gem regardless of its widespread appeal.

Now in 2008, CD Projeckt Red have released an expansion pack to the PC RPG. The Enhanced Edition provides improved performance, new sidequests, the official soundtrack and other goodies. The game is a must play for an RPG fan, specially with lesser and lesser 80-hour RPGs that are coming out recently. If the witcher hasn’t registered on your radar yet, now is an even better time.

THE WITCHER ENHANCED EDITION

Gameplay - 7.5/10 (Simple enough to understand, complicated enough to master)

Graphics - 8.5/10 (Immersive environments, medieval setting really shines in the visuals. Some glitches are   present, though.)

Story - 7.5/10 ( As good as you can get in an RPG )

Replay Value - 8/10 ( You’ll play this again and again with the many possiblities of combat abilities and spells)

Overall - 8.5/10
