Though the OPEN BETA will not begin until the 7th of September, you can get a head start on downloading the client if you Pre-Ordered WAR. The OB client is available as of today!
To download, first you must register your Pre-Order Code at the official Mythic account management website. Your Pre-Order code is either going to be in the game box (which you probably don’t have yet) or in the confirmation email you received when you ordered the game.
Get over there today and start downloading! If you get in early you may get finished in time for the OPEN BETA, now only about 3 weeks away. There are going to be thousands and thousands of other gamers trying to download that same client, so get yours fast, because once you have a few hundred thousand people or more trying to download the client it’s going to be like trying to jam an elephant through a key hole. When you register, don’t share the download link with anyone! This will lead to a bunch of non-open beta folks downloading the client and slowing it down for all the legit players!

Also, The download for the open beta client is at Fileplanet.com. You will be required to create a free FilePlanet account and input your open beta pre-order code to access the file.
If you are currently in the WAR closed beta, you will automatically be granted access to the open beta. Simply continue to patch your client and you’ll be ready to play.
The Open Beta will be level capped and content restricted. You will be allowed to choose any of the game’s twenty unique careers and advance through rank twenty. You will also be free to explore and battle across Tiers One and Two of each race’s homeland. And just as you stated, any characters created during the Open Beta will NOT carry over into the live game as they will be wiped from the servers.
