The WAR Wagon

Now that the NDA has officially come down, we are beginning day two of the Great Flood of War.  WAR Bloggers across the board are posting up a ton of great information about the game with first impressions, videos, podcasts and screenshots.  There’s some good tutorials out there as well as recommendations from playstyle to system setup.  Take a peak at what some of the WAR bunch are talking about.

Keen over at Keen and Graev’s Gaming Blog floods us with media madness:

“I’ve taken 18 videos and about 70 screenshots for you guys to take a look at. I’m still in the process of uploading them to youtube, which takes forever on some of the bigger ones, so check back often to see if I have added more. I will also be adding more videos and screenshots as beta continues.”

Snafzg at The Green Skin gave us a great guide on building a WAR capable PC:

“It is very important to have a PC capable of running Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) in large-scale RvR situations because that is what the game is all about. Nothing is worse than dying to another player because your system lagged or froze completely. Even if you are only interested in the PvE elements of WAR, the endgame PvE takes place in large cities with many allies and NPCs running around.”

Scarybooster at The Order of Destruction listed 10 things he learned about the game from BETA

“I will make this short and sweet. You have a lot of detailed post to look at today so I won’t keep you long. Looking at a long drawn out post starts to make me skip to the bottom. I will just post 10 things about the game I know so far and maybe I will go into detail on other short, sweet posts.”

Syp at Waaagh! A Warhammer Blog has several good posts to check out, here’s a snippet of his first impressions:

“I’ve only been a part of closed beta since late July, so it’s not like I have all the answers or experience anyway, but here?s a few questions I think “I” would have wanted answered if I wasn?t in beta - hope it helps!”

The White Lion Blog gives an ecstatic first impression of Warhammer Online - WOW!

“Wow! No, I don’t mean World of Warcraft, I mean WOW! As in awesome. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is so much fun! I’ve had a great time every time I’ve logged on. I’ve had fun in PvE. I’ve had fun getting my rear-end handed to me in RvR. (Have I mentioned my strictly carebear MMO history?) I’ve had fun with White Lions, Warrior Priests and Witch Elves. Since I judge a game strictly on whether its fun or not, I believe Mythic Entertainment has a winner on its hands.”

Archmagery answered several questions served up by fellow WAR blog Wizards and Wenches:

“Wizards and Wenches asked some specific questions that those of you not in the beta might want to have answers to, so I thought I’d do so, biased with the eyes of an archmage since, well, that?s my scene and all.”

The Book of Grudges posts up Hints and Tips for new Beta Testers:

“These are little and sometimes embarrassing questions that were frequently asked by us, our friends and guildmates or by other beta testers on the chat channels and beta boards. They mostly deal with small things, things other people think are blindingly obvious - so we list them here so you can learn the kind of things we did!”
