With the eve of WAR looming and many players chomping at the bit to get into the world of Warhammer and experience the game for themselves we take a peek at what some of the head start guys are saying about WAR! The chatter among the players goes anywhere from “This is a WoW crusher…” to “Where the hell is my RvR?”. Populations in the head start program are understandably low, considering you have a fairly limited amount of players (considering how many this game was designed for) spread out among a host of servers. I’m sure some servers are better than others, but once the flood gates open up and the players come rushing in the players in even the low pop servers are going to feel like they were in the Ninth Ward with Katrina bearing down on ‘em.
So, without further ado – I present your War Wagon:
Scarybooster over at The Order of Destruction is one of the guys looking at WAR as if it were the second coming:
“Ok, you could be new to the MMO world and heard a friend talk about Mythic’s new game, Warhammer Online: Age of WoW Crusher. Yup I said it, this game rocks so hard your 90 year old knitting granny can’t keep up with the rocking.” Read more…
Keen over at Keen and Graev’s Gaming Blog however is venting his frustration at being in an Open RvR server and having less RvR than the rest:
“While I absolutely love Open-RvR I’m feeling like I am actually missing out on RvR by not playing on Core. Totally ironic and unfair really that I would have to play on a server ruleset that I don’t like to get RvR when the server ruleset I do like is technically supposed to be able to provide for me.” Read more…
Snafzg at The Greenskin, along with his guild have chosen to go the role playing server route hoping to find more maturity in their RvR expierence:
“We predict there will be just as much RvR as the Core servers, but with a more mature audience. We’re also hoping RP servers will attract more Order people for us to fight. So far, so good.” Read more…
Syp at Waaagh! was kind enough to post up some of his random thoughts of joy and glee that bounce around his cranium as he plays:
“I feel so gloriously lost in the game world… I forgotten what that was like. Awesome.” “Some days I’m just a minor speedbump to the Destruction machine. Bump. Oh, did we run over something? Nah, nothing important.” Read more…
Thade over at Archmagery has re-thought how he feels about Balance in WAR:
“Remember the time I said “Witch elves kill me in two seconds,” and I commented that it might be a bit overpowered? Well, I was wrong, and the reason I was wrong was a beautiful tank ability called “Guard” that shares 50% of all damage I take with the tank” Read more…
Regis at Wizards and Wenches posted up a very detailed view of stats in WAR – WARNING: Don’t read until after you’ve had your first cup of coffee:
“I was writing the next part of my Disciple of Khaine guides where I was trying to rank the usefulness of stats. Since I wanted to give a actually meaningful opinion and not just “strength is better, because other people told me so” I dived into theorycrafting.” Read more…
That sums up my morning rounds of your WAR blog posts – hope I didn’t leave anyone out. If you’re post isn’t mentioned here it doesn’t make you a bad person!!! Just a bad writer.
I tease.
