Rohan Online: Blood Feud

Open beta for Rohan Blood Feud has begun and is already jam packed with testers, so much so that YNK Games has more than doubled their number of servers in the first few days of testing to accomodate the huge influx of fans and they promise to continue to increase capacity as demand also increases.  Rohan is a fantasy based MMORPG with many familiar classes for players to create characters from:  Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Half Elves and a few new classes including Dekans, which are a changling race that can transform into dragons and Dhan, which are an assassin class that is wholey geared toward PVP action.  Dhan can totally avoid quests for gaining experience if they choose and level up simply by killing other players.

With the Dhan class in mind, I took a closer look at the game and from an outsider perspective as I haven’t finished downloading the beta client yet, this game seems to be heavily geared toward PVP.   Game features all seem to revolve around PVP, for example Rohan features a game system called ‘Revenge’ which allows a player just killed by another to be instantly teleported to their killers location upon respawning to try to get a revenge kill.  I’m not convinced yet that I’ll like that feature as I’m kind of used to killing a lot of other players but I’ll hold judgment on that one until I experience it in game.  Another feature geared toward PVP and in my early opinion a better feature is that all towns in the game are capturable and controllable by guilds within the game.  If a guild captures a town, they receive taxes on all transactions within that town for a week along with other treasures and rewards.

The game is free to play and appears that it will stay free to play even after beta.  This MMORPG seems to be going along the same theory as Shot Online which I already play in that you can play for free but you can advance faster or get better items through buying items for cash off of the company website.  Should be fun to check out, and it doesn’t cost anything so why not?  www.PlayRohan.com
