Yesterday in a post over at the WarVault, Mark Jacobs wrote a post regarding Open Beta and the NDA lift. A small quote from that post by Mark, “As to the NDA, we expect to lift it tomorrow morning.” Well it’s almost noon and not a peep out of the Mythic camp on the NDA droppage. There are hordes of bloggers and beta testers out there ready to spill their guts out on what they experienced in closed beta – but right now everyone has to bite their tongues and wait.
Granted, Mark didn’t give us any indication on what time zone the NDA would drop in, if they go by the Samoan time zone they still have plenty of time to release and be true to their word. Who would have thought that this NDA could prove to be so damn resilient. The thing just won’t go away.
We’re fast approaching the release of WAR and the longer they wait to drop the curtain and let everyone talk about they game – the worse their confidence in the game looks. I’m still holding out that it’s going to be a great game but I don’t believe it’s going to be wrinkle free enough at launch for me to jump right in. We’ll see what the testers say after this thing drops. We’re all still waiting (those of us not in beta anyway) to see what these three issues holding up the NDA are and if they are going to be major enough to significantly impact the launch of WAR.
