A lot of people are getting Error 14001 after installing today’s patch – don’t panic! There is a quick fix without having to reinstall your client. Basically you need to install the VC Redistributable. There are two ways you can go about this.
First and easiest method – click on Start, go to All Programs then to Darkfall. Select install VC Redistributable from the menu. If for some reason this isn’t there you can try the second method. Go to your Darkfall install folder (Default C:\Program Files\Darkfall) and double click on vcredist_x86.exe inside the folder.
If all else fails, go to your control panel, select Darkfall and select Repair. Good luck.
