Well, that feels like a waste of $90. I have this fancy box, this cool leather map and a game account I’m no longer going to play - at least not in the near future. Age of Conan for me was a fun break away from the normal MMORPG in it’s unique style of combat and adult themed content but in the end the issues with performance in the game were just to much. The game was playable even with my outdated computer system but PVP, which I love, was very difficult to impossible in large scale because of screen lag and fps issues.
For the past week I’ve found myself not playing AoC as much and going back to old tried and true games like CoD4 and Shot Online for fun. Then last night I resigned up for my World of Warcraft account just to get in and try some PVP with my twinks and had a blast. I logged into my 49 twink feral druid and ended up staying up playing battle grounds until about 2:30 in the morning. Man am I feeling it today - and so is my coffee pot! But it made me realize that while I enjoyed the fresh approach to AoC’s combat system, I actually enjoyed WoW’s more. Maybe because that’s just what I’m used to? Possibly. Maybe it’s because I’m playing twinks and it just feels good to get a high kill to death ratio? Likely. But the point is AoC just isn’t doing it for me right now. I feel this game needs more polish before I’m ready to come back and give it another try.
