There is never an end to the constant acquisition of gear! This is one of my posts on the downfalls of what had been one of my favorite games. It really is difficult for me to pick at WoW to much because I do still have a love for it, although that last few months of my adventures in Azeroth were stuck almost entirely in battlegrounds.
After getting to level 70 with my Undead Warlock and spending countless hours in instances with groups going after good equipment I quickly began to get bored with the game. One of the things that is so addictive is the gear you attain and the power that comes along with it, along with leveling. But once you get to the top, it’s hard to stay there. It always seems that there is some other piece of gear that is better and you have to spent countless hours and kill countless bosses trying to find it.
That’s when a friend turned me on to my new love, twinks! PVP was what I wanted to do anyway, and who doesn’t want to be good at it? Out of boredom I was leveling a druid, when I found out about twinking I had just reached level 40 with him. So, I decided to make him my first twink and started gathering the best equipment and enchants money could buy. Before you know it I was in battlegrounds almost always in first place in kills and damage. But wouldn’t you know it, there were other twinks!
After getting my butt kicked by a twink 49 warrior, I decided to make one of my own. So back to leveling I went and with help from an account of a friend who had temporarily retired from WoW I quickly got my warrior to the 49 bracket with all the best gear. Kang the Decapitator with a Mongoose enchant provided for hours of fun. But I so quickly get bored! Switching between my druid and warrior became mundane, so just before I officially retired from WoW I got a mage leveled up to the 49 bracket, I didn’t quite finish leveling him but he’ll be a nice addition if I ever decide to go back to tinker in the land of the twinks!
