I’ve been receiving a lot of requests for help from people experiencing problems with the black screen issue in Age of Conan in response to my post on the issue. But now I’ve also been getting a lot of complaints of people freezing or locking up sometime around the boat scene or character creation screen. We’ve been going through a lot of possible fixes but after reading this post at Massively I see that there is a problem with character creation that is freezing up a lot of people. Funcom knows about the problem and has turned off new character creation until it is fixed. The problem they say is limited to the Set server so I don’t know if it’s related to the same problem some of my visitors are experiencing, but if this is you, keep in mind they are working to resolve it. With the game being a number one best seller and so many people joining every day you can bet they are going to try hard to resolve wide spread problems such as this quickly!

does this mean that the server ‘set’ will have less population than the others???

If the character creation is off for any real amount of time, yes but it is not going to really impact the server population unless it’s off for extended periods (days or weeks)
