A few patches ago I began getting consistant crashes when exiting AoC asking me to report the error to Funcom. It was annoying but I was pretty much just living with it until I found a fix posted online by Lefty1117 (gotta give props). Basically the problem seems to be caused by right permission on AoC files, which should be fairly easily fixed. Here’s a step by step run through on how to get rid of this minor annoyance:
1. If not already – log in as administrator or with administrative access
2. Go to the directory where you installed AoC (default C:/Program Files/Funcom/ )
3. Right-click on the Age of Conan folder and select Properties
4. Un-check the box that says ‘Read Only’ and click Apply
5. When prompted, click on ‘Apply changes to subfolders and files’ or it won’t work
In Vista, you may also try right-clicking on the AoC icon and selecting “Run as Administrator”, that option has met with some success as well. Hope this helps!
