Troll 2 Phenomenon

The B-movie deemed as the best worst movie ever has become a world phenomenon. Its impact has made an unexpected dent in the movie as well as the gaming industry. Do you recall the “Nilbog” stage in RedOctane’s, Guitar Hero? Yes, the developers are fans of Troll 2. Come on, don’t you know that Nilbog is Goblin spelled backwards? 
So what’s this Troll 2 all about? How did such a bad movie, become a huge hit worldwide? I won’t go into the plot. I’ll leave that to you to find out. It’s hard to say why the movie is so popular. It’s one of those cases where a movie is so bad, that it’s good. The WTF factor is beyond any comprehensible media you could ever feast your eyes on. Thus I say that this is bad movie greatness at its finest.
The story behind my connection with Troll 2 is unique. My dentist from Alabama, George Hardy, stars as one of the leading roles, Michael Waits. I remember watching it when I was 11. I didn’t really think much of it to tell you the truth, but a few years back, it hit me. I wanted to see Troll 2 again, so I did. To top it all off I heard that it was rapidly growing in popularity worldwide. After watching it numerous times, I decided to have a night dedicated to drinking beer and watching Troll 2. Halfway through the movie I said to myself, “This movie needs to be a game.” So I developed a game based upon the movie. However, this can’t be a good game, because Troll 2 is the “best worst movie” so I wanted to develop the “best worst game”. Did I succeed? Hrmmm. That’s for you to decide. While I was developing the “main” portion of the game, I was speaking with a friend at EA/Mythic and the Troll 2 bug slightly bit him, so he decided to program the Troll 2 minigame I designed which can be downloaded here:

Again, it would be best to watch the movie before you play the games, so you will have an idea of why you are throwing bologna sandwiches at oncoming goblins and why in the minigame, you are pissing on food.
