Even though Diablo 3 is not going to be an MMO it is taking on some of the better traits of one. One of the noteable changes to this version compared to the others is the character customization. Gamers will be able to create both male and female versions of every class which has never been available in previous versions. Characters will be more customizable as well when you create them to give each gamer the unique character feel they get from MMORPG’s.
Armor and other wearable items now are more closely related to the class wearing it and will render accordingly adding to the variety of character appearances. The game world itself will also now be fully 3D allowing for a full range of camera motion – zooming in and out at will like an MMO. Add to that a very destructable and interactive terrain and no two games will look the same. Blizzard is also trying hard to make each game unique in introducing more random environments and randomly scripted events in the game.
